Remember who you were before the world convinced you to forget.

It's not about what broke you.

It's about the mindset that rebuilds you.

As someone who suffered decades of narcissistic abuse and domestic violence, I know that we often feel like our circumstances are unique; that no one else is going through what we are going through, and no one would believe us if we told them the truth. I also know that it’s not always safe or financially feasible to leave an abusive situation, so there is no judgment here. Just support, community and information.

So, I invite you to engage with all the resources provided herein, to find empowerment to heal, shift your mindset, and create a life around who you were always meant to be. 💕

Reflect, Reset, Rise

Reflect, Reset, Rise: A New Year Self-Assessment to Become Your Best Self in 2026

January 05, 20263 min read

The start of a new year is the prime time to reflect on the past, revise what didn’t work too well, so we can then re-approach the present and future differently.

Some would refer to this process as making a resolution. I like to think of it as a yearly review, sort of the same way an employer goes over an employee’s performance on an annual basis.

So, why not use this opportunity to do a quick performance review of yourself for the past year, to ensure an even better new year?!

PAST PERFORMANCE SELF-REVIEW

Ask yourself the following questions and answer each honestly.

  1. What accomplishment am I most proud of achieving in the last year?

  1. What situation last year left me with the most regret?

REVISIONS TO CONSIDER IN RE-APPROACHING THE FUTURE

  1. What is my single best quality, and how can I bring it into every interaction I have with others this year?

  1. What brings me the most joy, and how can I ensure more of that for myself this year?

  1. What am I struggling with the most right now, and what is the first step in resolving the matter?

AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY:

  1. Am I willing to embody that higher version of myself from here on out?

If you’re still with me on this self-improvement journey, I commend you for taking time for YOU.

Many people opt to just exist, to go with the ebbs and flows of life instead of taking proactive steps to ensure they are getting the most out of their average 75 years here. There's no judgement or shame in that. We all have free will to decide what we want for ourselves.

Just being open to being better is something to be tremendously proud of...

💕Even if you don’t know how to move forward in the new energy you want to exude.

💕Even if you aren’t sure where to start in healing behavior and relationship patterns that developed from past or generational trauma.

💕Even if you just feel that desire for more or better but don’t know exactly what that means for you.

. . .Except that you do!😁

✨Everything you need to emotionally, mentally, and physically exist as the person you choose to be in the life you decide you want for yourself is truly inside of you. You just need clarity, direction, and drive.

I know, because I was once in that position of knowing the life I was living wasn’t even mine. It was the life that had been dictated to me by people who controlled me for their own selfish agendas and by societal expectations and gender roles that didn't support the vision I had for myself.

Now that I’ve endured the risks and struggles to achieve what I had always wanted for myself (and so much more!), I am able to guide other people towards their true purpose and passion with a self-guided program that ignites the spark of who you truly are and gives you the tools to make the five shifts you’ll need to make to achieve what you want for yourself.

➡️Then, share it with someone else who feels like they were meant for more than the life they are living.

Not interested in a self-improvement program right now? No problem! Follow me onSubstack, where I share my wisdom in weekly articles meant to inspire thought and action for more and better.

✨Let’s all make 2026 the year of the newest and best versions of ourselves, for the betterment of our lives and the whole of humanity!✨

(Perhaps that’s idealistic, but I believe we can do it! Love is always the answer, and it starts by demonstrating it in ourselves and then spreading it to those around us.)💕🥰
